Hello there! Today, I’d like to talk about the astounding advancements in modern technology. Recently, Apple’s visionary product, the “Apple Vision Pro,” a spatial computing technology, has taken the world by storm. Let’s take a closer look at how this technology might impact the future of the business environment!👇

At Apple’s annual developer conference (WWDC) held at Apple Park in California last month, CEO Tim Cook unveiled the cutting-edge product, Vision Pro, which is expected to lead us into the era of futuristic technology. We are now entering the age of spatial computing, seamlessly blending digital content with physical spaces.

Spatial Computing refers to the technology and concept of creating computing environments where the real world and digital information interact. It combines physical and virtual spaces to offer new forms of experiences and make interactions between users and devices more intuitive. This technology encompasses Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality, and other related technologies.

In front of a man wearing Apple’s Extended Reality (XR) headset called “Vision Pro,” various apps are displayed. He can place all the necessary apps around his surroundings and resize them with gestures. This allows him to utilize the space around him as a workspace, breaking free from the limitations of the screen. Source: Apple

One of the most notable aspects of Vision Pro is its ability to implement virtual offices. Users wearing the Vision Pro can keep their physical office space intact while simultaneously using web browsers, productivity apps, messengers, and more. With a simple gesture, users can launch or close various apps, providing a more convenient work environment. As a result, spatial computing is expected to greatly enhance business efficiency.

Moreover, spatial computing is set to bring about remarkable changes in the entertainment industry as well. By combining Extended Reality (XR) technologies, which include VR and AR, movies and games can be enjoyed with even more immersive experiences. The scenes shown in videos are so lifelike that they have been praised for their eeriness. Such technologies are anticipated to bring significant changes in content creation and consumption.

According to market research firm Statista, the global XR (Extended Reality) market, which was worth $19 billion in 2021, is projected to reach $100.8 billion by 2026.

The future of spatial computing technology is exciting, and it opens up numerous possibilities in various sectors, making it a thrilling time for the world of technology and innovation.

With this advancement in technology, it may seem similar to the concept of a virtual world called the metaverse. However, Apple did not use the term “metaverse” when unveiling the Vision Pro. While the Vision Pro is currently classified as a high-priced product, positive expectations arise from Apple’s history of reviving new fields.🙂

Of course, for spatial computing to become mainstream, many challenges still remain. The development of useful and innovative applications is essential. Apple is already providing developers with tools to utilize the Vision Pro and is also actively securing content. As more developers worldwide join in, we can anticipate price reductions and the emergence of a broader range of apps.

The future of spatial computing technology holds many unknowns. Nevertheless, due to its practical application potential, such as virtual offices in the corporate world, rather than expecting explosive demand immediately, we look forward to seeing how new environments will form with the progression of technology.

Apple’s Vision Pro will show us a different world, bringing greater innovation and advancement in areas like virtual offices. We are confident that more companies and developers participating will lead to diverse and convenient content and services. Standing at the threshold of a new era, infinite possibilities unfold before us. We eagerly anticipate the direction we will take.
